Productivity tools
Each tool is a native AutoCAD command, accessible from the ElectroCAD ribbon or the keyboard. No convoluted submenus, no unnecessary dialog boxes.
RPURGE — Radical purge
AutoCAD's PURGE command leaves residues (styles, ghost layers, RegApps). RPURGE cleans in depth over 10 successive passes, while preserving dynamic blocks and required RegApps.
CLEANER — Express cleaner
Complete DWG file cleanup: empty layers, orphan blocks, unused definitions, dictionaries, scales. Configurable options and detailed report.
DYNCOPY / DYNMOVE — Dynamic copy
Dynamic copy and move with Ctrl+click rotation (90°). Replaces the native COPY command for anything involving oriented blocks.
SS — Advanced SelectSimilar
Similarity-based selection on 7 configurable criteria: type, layer, color, ltype, lineweight, scale, block name. Far more powerful than native SELECTSIMILAR.
BREPLACE — Block replacement
Replaces one block with another while keeping position, rotation, scale and attributes. Auto mode (all blocks of a type) or Manual (selection).
DPROP & COPYATTR — Property copying
DPROP copies dynamic properties and attributes between blocks. COPYATTR copies attribute definitions between different blocks.
CALEP — Luminaire layout
Photometric calculation and luminaire layout compliant with EN 12464-1:2021. 26 predefined room types, optimal spacing, export to AutoCAD plan.
LEGENDE — Legend generator
Automatic generation of configurable legends from the blocks in the drawing. One-click update if the drawing changes.
EC_BOM — BOM extraction
Automatic extraction of the bill of materials (BOM) to Excel: quantities, references, manufacturers, layers. Configurable by attribute.
ECCOMPARE — Compare 2 DWGs
Visual comparison between two drawings: green = current, red = old, magenta = unchanged. Primitive-based matching, adjustable tolerance, PDF export.
IMPRIMERPRESENTATION — PDF export
Export all layouts to PDF in one click. Paper size detected automatically, pre-configured ElectroCAD.pc3 plotter.
PDFM — Multi-page PDF import
Multi-page PDF import into AutoCAD with automatic arrangement and a schematic mode optimised for electrical drawings.
ECHMODEL / ECHPRES — Scales
Management of LTSCALE model space and PSLTSCALE/MSLTSCALE layout scales. Harmonises hatches and linetypes.
ECLW / ECLWTOGGLE — Line thickness
Configurable dialog for display, printing, scale and default thickness. Quick ON/OFF toggle.
SCALEDIST — Scale by distance
Scaling by reference distance using 2 points. Ideal for rescaling a scanned or imported DWG.
ECLOCKSEL — Selection lock
Prevents accidental selection on locked layers. Active by default when AutoCAD starts.
