NIBT 2020
Swiss standard for low-voltage installations (SN 411000). The No. 1 reference for installers and engineering firms: cable cross-sections, voltage drop, selectivity, 30 mA RCDs, AFCI.
OIBT
Federal ordinance on low-voltage electrical installations. Legal framework for authorisations, inspection and the documentation required for every installation.
Documentation and Swiss public tenders
SIA 451
Documentation of electrical installations in Switzerland. The reference for Swiss engineering offices and cantonal public tenders (Valais, Vaud, Geneva, Neuchâtel, Fribourg, Jura).
SIA 380/4
Swiss standard on electrical energy in buildings. Installed power limits by room type. Link with Minergie.
Symbols and lighting (Europe / international)
IEC 60617
Graphical symbols for electrical schematics. The international reference in Europe, Switzerland and Asia. Used by ElectroBlocs (1187 symbols).
EN 12464-1
Lighting of indoor workplaces. Illuminance levels, UGR, uniformity. Implemented by the CALEP command.

CAN catalog
Swiss reference system for standardized electrical articles. Article codes recognized by all wholesalers (Otto Fischer, Elektro-Material EM, Bugnard).
IfA18 (.crbx)
Standard XML format for transmitting tenders and electrical material lists in Switzerland. Successor to IfA92, accepted by all Swiss wholesalers.
IfA92 (.01s)
Legacy text format for material lists, still used in 2026 for SIA 451 dossiers and legacy installer workflows.
