ElectroCAD reviews — pilot partner program
ElectroCAD is an AutoCAD plugin published in Switzerland, aimed at electrical engineering offices, SIA engineers and electrical installers. This page honestly documents our stage of development and the pilot partner program open to offices wishing to influence the roadmap.
Our position: transparency by choice
Rather than publishing fabricated testimonials or star ratings without substance, we prefer to be clear: ElectroCAD is a recent product under active development. It is used daily in production by engineering offices and installers, and every piece of feedback is still handled individually by our team.
This position seems to us the only one consistent with our market: the electrotechnical engineering offices, the SIA engineers and the EIT.swiss member installers are not won over by anonymous five-star reviews. They want to understand how the tool handles the SIA 451, how it handles symbols IEC 60617, and who answers the phone when a project has to go out for revision on a Friday evening.
Who our first users are
While we await each office's formal go-ahead to publish its name, here are the types of early adopters currently in production. Each card describes a real profile from the pilot program; no company name is invented.
Engineering office · Switzerland
Multidisciplinary team
Multi-page projects with cross-references between sheets via ElectroSchema, standardized PDF export for cantonal delivery. Most-used commands: EC_LIGNES, EC_RENUM.
Independent installer · Vaud
Single seat
Full AutoCAD 2026. Library ElectroBlocs for residential distribution board schematics, pre-filled Swiss title block.
SIA engineers · Commercial buildings
Multiple licences
Installation plans, building automation (BMS) planning, material lists exported to .crbx (IfA18) for direct transmission to the distributor.
Vocational training · CH
Educational use
Teaching workstation: training on SIA 451 and IEC 60617 symbols using real drawings.
Exact names will be published on a case-by-case basis as soon as a firm agrees to be publicly featured.
Review collection methodology
We combine three channels to assess user satisfaction, each documented here for the sake of transparency:
- Phone interviews — a call of about one hour with each new partner office within the month following activation, to understand the real production workflow (CAD, diagrams, layout plans, quantity take-offs, SIA 451 file).
- Post-trial form — sent automatically at the end of the thirty-day free trial, with open questions (“what made you commit or walk away?”) and a standardized NPS.
- Anonymized telemetry — usage aggregates per command, per version, per session duration. No drawing content is transmitted: only command names and version codes are reported.
Any publication of a named testimonial requires written approval from the user, in accordance with the privacy policy and to the LPD revised 2023.
"Pilot Partner" program
We are opening this programme to Swiss engineering firms and installers ready to use ElectroCAD on real projects and report their friction points to us. What you get in return is concrete:
Extended trial
Ninety days instead of thirty, with no commitment.
Free remote training
Two sessions of around ninety minutes (getting started + advanced SIA 451 case).
Priority support
Direct line, guaranteed response by the next business day.
Influence on the roadmap
Your feedback enters the public backlog prioritization queue.
Preferential rate
Goodwill discount on the first year of subscription, aligned with the duration of your pilot participation.
Become a pilot partner
Conditions: be based in Switzerland, work with AutoCAD 2025 or 2026 (full version), and agree to sign a two-page partnership agreement.
Apply to the pilot programSubmit a voluntary testimonial
Already using ElectroCAD and want to share your experience publicly? We will gladly publish your feedback, signed or anonymized according to your preference. No financial compensation is offered in exchange for a review: we insist that testimonials remain independent. Write to us via the contact form or directly at info@electrocad.ch.
Third-party review platforms
We plan to open profiles on recognised B2B review platforms (Trustpilot, Capterra, G2) as soon as the user base exceeds the minimum representativeness threshold (fifty distinct active firms). Publishing a profile with three reviews would distort the picture, in either direction.
FAQ
How can I share my feedback on ElectroCAD? Three channels: by email at info@electrocad.ch, via the post-trial form automatically received at the end of your evaluation period, or by applying to the pilot partner program above. All feedback is read personally by our team.
How does ElectroCAD validate user feedback? Every testimonial published on this site is approved in writing by the user concerned. Usage figures come from the plugin's anonymized telemetry (license heartbeat, commands triggered). No project data ever leaves the user's workstation, in accordance with the revised Swiss FADP of 2023.
What are the exact terms of the pilot partner program? An office or installer based in Switzerland, AutoCAD 2025 or 2026 (full version), ongoing electrotechnical projects, and a commitment to provide at least one structured feedback report per quarter for twelve months. In return, you receive a ninety-day trial, remote training, priority support and a preferential rate for the first year.
Can I remain anonymous in a published testimonial? Yes. You can choose a generic description ("Swiss engineering firm", "independent installer, Vaud") without stating your company name. Several current partners have made this choice for commercial confidentiality reasons.
Are there public reviews elsewhere on the web? Not yet on Trustpilot, Capterra or G2 — we will open those profiles as soon as the user base is large enough for the ratings to be representative.
