ExpressCleaner — Complete AutoCAD cleanup
Complete, configurable cleanup of your DWG files: empty layers, orphan blocks, unused definitions, dictionaries, obsolete scales, ghost entities. CLEANER command in ElectroCAD Tools.
What CLEANER cleans
- Empty layers — layers without entities, with an option to preserve Xref layers
- Orphan blocks — unused block definitions, including dereferenced dynamic blocks
- Unused styles — unreferenced text, dimension and multileader styles
- Line types — linetypes loaded but unused
- Dictionaries — DGN and PDF dictionaries, ghost images
- Obsolete annotations — orphaned dimensions and texts
- Empty groups — named groups without members
- Named views — unused saved views
- Selection filters — filters saved by the user
Difference from RPURGE
| Criterion | CLEANER | RPURGE |
|---|---|---|
| Objective | Configurable daily cleanup | Radical purge in 10 passes |
| Interface | Dialog with checkboxes | Automatic execution |
| Detailed report | Yes, by category | Yes, per pass |
| RegApps | Optional | Always (with whitelist) |
| Typical use | End of project, before handover | File bloating abnormally |
The two tools are complementary: use CLEANER regularly during your work sessions, and RPURGE occasionally when a file is really too heavy.
Use
Command: CLEANER
The dialog offers a list of items to clean with checkboxes. Tick what you want to delete, then confirm. A report details what was erased.
