EC_TAGCONN — Cross-references and inter-page connection labels
The EC_TAGCONN command places the cross-references (connection tags) between sheets of a multi-page diagram: a signal leaving a page receives a label pointing to the destination page, and vice versa. The cross-references remain consistent even if the page numbering changes.
Bidirectional cross-page references
In a multi-sheet project, the same signal often crosses several sheets. EC_TAGCONN places bidirectional cross-references (cardinal + JIG) linking the two ends: for example the link between sheet 03 and sheet 12 of a 20-page schematic. Each tag shows the page and position of its counterpart.
Automatic update
When the page numbering changes — inserting an intermediate sheet, reorganising the folios — the cross-references are updated automatically: no manual renumbering, no incorrect reference at final inspection. The gain is above all qualitative: zero erroneous cross-references in the delivered dossier.
Use cases
- Multi-sheet schematic — link a signal between two distant pages of the dossier
- Sheet insertion — keep cross-references correct after adding a sheet
- Final inspection — guarantee cross-reference consistency before delivery
